Online Regional Training for External Evaluators on Environmental Sustainability, 27 June
Online training session within Regional Training for External Evaluators on the topic of environmental sustainability was organized on June 27th, 2024. The event, which virtually hosted 35 participants, mainly external evaluators, from various educational institutions across the South Eastern European region and Moldova, was conducted as a part of the project “Enhancements in the Quality of Education and Training in SEE – EQET SEE,” co-funded by the Austrian Development Agency.
The training was led by Dr Ermelinda Mahmutaj, an expert in this field. It began with an introduction to the concepts of environmental sustainability, emphasizing its importance as an indicator of educational quality. Participants explored how to recognize environmental practices in schools and discussed methods for assessing these issues as part of their evaluation criteria. The session included practical techniques for improving environmental performance, equipping evaluators with strategies to promote a more sustainable educational environment.
